Jiang Zhi, a nurse, never imagined that an unexpected accident would entangle her with Fu Sinian, a lawyer. Feeling guilty, she takes him to the hospital, hoping he'll be safe and that the incident can quietly be put behind them. Unfortunately, this injured man has a sharp eye and speaks with such composure that he can always detect the flaws in her explanations. He temporarily refrains from pursuing the matter, but asks her to deliver fried chicken, buy him a phone, and pick up his computer, repeatedly emphasizing that they will settle the score over the accident sooner or later. After finishing her night shift, Jiang Zhi rushes around running errands for him. She complains constantly, yet gradually begins to worry about his injuries. Through repeated tests and acts of care, the distance between them quietly begins to shrink.

Jiang Zhi, un'infermiera, non avrebbe mai immaginato che un incidente l'avrebbe legata così strettamente a Fu Sinian, un avvocato. Sentendosi in colpa, lo porta in ospedale, sperando soltanto che stia bene e che l'accaduto possa essere dimenticato in silenzio. Ma l'uomo ferito ha uno sguardo acuto e parla con tanta calma da riuscire sempre a individuare le incongruenze nelle sue spiegazioni. Per il momento non le chiede conto dell'accaduto, ma le fa portare del pollo fritto, comprare un telefono e ritirare il suo computer. Inoltre, ribadisce più volte che prima o poi dovranno chiarire la questione dell'incidente. Dopo aver terminato il turno di notte, Jiang Zhi si ritrova nuovamente impegnata a sbrigare commissioni per lui. Si lamenta continuamente, ma pian piano comincia a preoccuparsi per le sue ferite.
