Lin Ye, a content creator who has watched tens of thousands of horror movies, dies suddenly after an all-night livestream and transmigrates to a modern parallel world completely devoid of horror elements. Unexpectedly, a bizarre anomaly strikes: supernatural entities and rules from various classic horror movies begin invading the world one after another. Lin Ye binds with a Film Critic System; instead of fighting them head-on, he cracks these eerie incidents using abstract deconstruction of bugs and roast-worthy tropes, gathering a group of allies to form the Anti-Trope Alliance. He gradually discovers that this world is actually a horror screening hall thrown into chaotic movie crossovers due to a malfunctioning projector. As the group navigates a film labyrinth to repair the equipment, Lin Ye sacrifices all his horror movie memories to reboot the machine and restore peace. Returning amnesiac to his original world, he is ultimately reawakened by an invitation from the other world, embarking once more on a journey to reunite.
