Zhao Lan broke off relations with her family for love and married captain Zhou Yue. After marriage, Zhou Yue handed his salary to his mother Wang Hongjuan, but Wang Hongjuan set harsh family rules, forcing her to undertake all housework and deducting living expenses, causing her to fall ill from exhaustion and be hospitalized. Zhou Yue flew long-term and blindly trusted his mother, turning a blind eye to Zhao Lan's cries for help. Her elder brother Zhao Chen rushed to pick her up, and Zhao Lan, heartbroken, proposed a divorce. After discovering the truth, Zhou Yue broke with his mother and sued to recover the property. Zhao Lan publicized the evidence, her elder brother revealed her true identity, and the oppressors were legally punished. Zhou Yue repented, and two years later, they held a wedding again, finally achieving fulfillment.
