Ling Yixin was once a top mercenary who developed post-traumatic stress disorder due to war, regarding his daughter Ling Yaya as his precious treasure. After being discharged from the hospital, he went to pick Yaya up from school, only to encounter Hu Qiaohui falsely accusing Yaya of stealing money, beating and scolding her, smashing her medicine, and forcing Ling Yixin to kneel. Gu Ruoxi arrived to save Yaya, but Ma Chen and his wife committed violence against Gu Ruoxi, prompting Ling Yixin to fight back. Because the school security camera was broken and the teacher gave false testimony, the inspector could not arrest Ling Yixin due to his mental illness certificate. Unwilling to accept this, Ma Chen and his wife hired thugs to attack them on the street, who were instead subdued by Gu Ruoxi after Ling Yixin revealed his identity. In the end, Ma Chen and his wife were completely blacklisted, and Ling Yixin left with his family.
