I Became the Chancellor's Wife by Spreading Rumors
Su Yuan lost her parents at a young age and worked as a kitchen maid in the Chancellor's residence. Because she was naturally strong and had an enormous appetite, she was sent back to her hometown. There, she caught her fiancé, Li Yan, currying favor with the governor's daughter and plotting to seize her ancestral farmland. In desperation, she falsely claimed to be Xie Heng's favored concubine. As fate would have it, Xie Heng, the Chancellor who had lost his memory after an assassination attempt, fell off a cliff and was rescued by her. She took him home, intending to use him as her protector. From mutual exploitation to gradually falling in love, Su Yuan repeatedly came close to discovering the truth, while Xie Heng secretly used his authority as Chancellor to protect her, help her preserve her family's inheritance, and build her fortune. After overcoming countless dangers, the two ultimately spend their lives together.
