Patents as the Edge: A Grassroots Architect's Long Song of Self-Reliance
At three in the morning, my year-end bonus of five yuan arrives. The CEO's special assistant receives 2.8 million. My wife, the CEO, whom I've secretly been married to for three years, offers me 8,000 yuan to buy some decent clothes, then hands me a contract renewal agreement demanding all the patents under my name. I push the agreement away and announce my resignation. She laughs, claiming I'm nothing without Yaoxing. I open the door and tell her that Qualcomm has just offered 240 million US dollars to buy out my architecture, and tomorrow this 350-billion-yuan company will grind to a complete halt when I revoke its authorization.
