After Wei Zongming, the head of Port City's leading Wei family, is released from prison, he plans to transfer his assets to his girlfriend Li Wanyi and retire…
After Wei Zongming, the head of Port City's leading Wei family, is released from prison, he plans to transfer his assets to his girlfriend Li Wanyi and retire overseas. However, he discovers that his imprisonment was framed by Li Wanyi herself, who colluded with her boy toy Yang Yu and childhood friend Chen Yingjie to embezzle his wealth. Seeing through the scheme, Wei Zongming bides his time and reveals his true identity at a birthday banquet, canceling Chen Yingjie's Wei family projects and sending Yang Yu to mine in Africa to pay off debts. Unwilling to accept defeat, Li Wanyi and Chen Yingjie incite shareholders of a Wei family subsidiary to withdraw their capital in retaliation, but Wei Zongming resolves the crisis out of his own pocket and severely punishes the defecting shareholders. When Wei Zongming comes demanding Li Wanyi repay the money and apologize, she refuses and attempts to assassinate him with a knife.
