Miner Lin Feng ventures into an abandoned jade mine and gets trapped in a cave-in. After his blood touches a dragon imperial seal, he awakens a supernatural treasure-appraisal ability that allows him to see the true value of any object. Outraged by his unscrupulous employer, he quits his job and uses an ancient coin to befriend the Chen family's father and daughter, renowned treasure appraisers. At antique markets and auctions, he repeatedly exposes counterfeits, humiliates his rivals, and even unlocks the ability to restore antiques. At a charity gala, he repairs the damaged masterpiece Preface to the Poems Composed at the Orchid Pavilion, astonishing everyone. He then successfully takes over as president of the Appraisal Association, acquires an enterprise, establishes Lin's Appraisal Company, and rises to become a legendary treasure appraiser.
