After being exploited as an unpaid translator and having her achievements stolen by her supervisor at her previous company, Lu Wei is determined to hide her ability to speak eight languages when looking for a new job. For three years after joining a company in City C, she keeps a low profile, secretly resolving several foreign trade communication crises through what everyone thinks is mere luck. When the company loses a major 50-million deal because of a Spanish communication mistake, the boss, Shen Yuan, sets a trap at the annual party. He publicly promises a raise to anyone proficient in Spanish, then deliberately makes grammatical mistakes in Spanish to test the employees.
