The retired Pavilion Master of Tianji Pavilion slips into the imperial harem as a lowest-ranked Attendant, hoping only to sleep while getting paid. Unexpectedly, the Emperor sees through her true identity and hires her at high pay as his secret weapon. Noble Consort Wan schemes relentlessly, yet she dismantles every plot lying down: sipping poisons like calming tea, making death sworn warriors kneel and call her ancestor, and turning fierce tigers onto their bellies to beg for mercy. When the palace rebellion erupts, a single hairpin calms thousands of troops, earning her the title of Imperial Noble Salted Fish Consort. With the Emperor massaging her shoulders, she continues her winter hibernation peacefully.
