He Yuan, a temporary stable hand who shovels horse manure, unexpectedly awakens the ability to understand animal speech after a high fever. At a horse racing event, chief veterinarian Tang Xueru diagnoses the champion horse Taxue with cardiopulmonary failure and recommends euthanasia. He Yuan, however, understands the horse's distressed neighs and discovers a sharp gravel trapped inside the horseshoe. By saving the horse in public, he shoots to fame overnight. Hired as a highly-paid private consultant, he cures bizarre animal ailments one after another. Yet, his 100% cure rate sparks Tang Xueru's jealousy and sabotage. He Yuan overcomes every obstacle, slaps his rival with pure skill, travels between ranches and zoos resolving crises, and finally sets off on a snow leopard rescue mission—firmly believing in his purpose as the communication bridge between humans and animals.
