To pay off a debt of 680,000, Lin Tingwan takes a voice companion job with a monthly salary of 100,000 to care for Jiang Yanzhou, who has been in a coma for two years. She accidentally discovers that whenever she makes direct skin contact, she can hear his inner voice. This vegetative patient is quiet on the outside, but inside he complains about hot water, curses the air conditioning, and even reminds her that someone wants to harm him. The two join forces to stop problematic injections, check medication doses, and expose the board's power grab and the truth behind the car crash. After Jiang Yanzhou wakes up, his mind-reading ability gradually fades, and they learn to stop guessing and speak their love and anxiety aloud. Lin Tingwan takes back her stolen voice and opens her own studio; Jiang Yanzhou goes from a numbered client to a boyfriend, and finally proposes in person.
