Saviour Lin Ye is betrayed by the Twelve Divine Scions and cast into the Demon Realm. After five years of bloody battles, he absorbs the power of ten thousand demons and ascends to become the Demon King of Pride in the Seventh Abyss. Upon his return, the mortal realm is controlled by the Scions, with humanity reduced to "Atoners" and the world left in ruins. To seek revenge and save humanity, Lin Ye wields the abyss hellfire, sweeps away the Scions' minions, meets the girl Xiao Yun, reunites with his former subordinate Red Wolf, and fights side by side with the resistance "Fire of Freedom", swearing to overthrow the Divine Scions' rule and restore light to the human world.
