Shen Zhaozhao spent eight years pouring her heart and soul into nurturing a miniature spiritual landscape in a pot, using it to cultivate good fortune and transform her impoverished husband, Gu Lanzhi, into a powerful marquis. However, the effort drained her blood and damaged her health, leaving her unable to bear children. Just as Gu Lanzhi achieved success, he brought home his pregnant cousin, Lin Rou'er, and announced that he would demote Shen Zhaozhao to a concubine and marry Lin instead. Lin Rou'er deliberately smashed the spiritual landscape, prompting Shen Zhaozhao to decisively divorce him and walk away. Without the spiritual protection that had sustained the marquis's household, disaster after disaster struck: the family plaque shattered, military reports went disastrously wrong, and their enemies closed in. Panicked, Gu Lanzhi begged her to return. But Shen Zhaozhao refused to remarry him and exposed the entire truth before the Emperor. Gu Lanzhi lost his noble title and was imprisoned. Shen Zhaozhao cleared her name, used her spiritual plants to protect the northern frontier, and was bestowed the title of Lady Zhao'an, living the rest of her life gloriously on her own.
