Whispers of the Tide
On a stormy night, an orphan named A Shi washes ashore in White Reef Village, clutching a conch shell. He is taken in by fisherman Gu Wenzhou. Strange sounds of the tide often emanate from the shell, leading to the secrets of a shipwreck from the past. Gu Wenzhou refuses to believe in supernatural explanations. Instead, he relies on tide records and on-site investigations to protect the local tidal creek ecosystem. Through storms, misunderstandings, and post-disaster reconstruction, the truth gradually comes to light. A Shi breaks free from the mysterious sounds that have bound him and finds a place to call home with the support of kind companions. At last, the sea returns to calm.

In una notte di tempesta, un orfano di nome A Shi viene trascinato dalle onde fino al villaggio della Barriera Bianca, stringendo tra le braccia una conchiglia marina. Il pescatore Gu Wenzhou lo accoglie in casa. Dalla conchiglia provengono spesso strani suoni della marea, legati al mistero di un naufragio avvenuto in passato. Gu Wenzhou non crede alle manifestazioni soprannaturali. Si affida invece alle registrazioni delle maree e alle indagini sul campo per proteggere l'ecosistema dei canali tidali. Dopo aver affrontato tempeste, incomprensioni e la ricostruzione successiva a un disastro, la verità comincia lentamente a emergere. A Shi riesce a liberarsi dalla morsa dei misteriosi suoni e trova finalmente una casa grazie alla compagnia e alla gentilezza delle persone che lo circondano. Alla fine, il mare torna tranquillo.
