I Warned Them Three Times, But They Still Stole the Pufferfish
Nine years ago, Zhou Haichuan's father stopped villagers from stealing fish and was pushed into the fishpond to drown. Due to a lack of evidence, the case was left unsettled. Nine years later, Zhou Haichuan returned to the village, leased the fishpond left behind by his father, and began raising highly toxic pufferfish. Zhao Qingfu and a group of villagers, greedy for the high price of pufferfish, cut the fence to steal the fish. Ignoring the warning signs and Zhou Haichuan's three warnings, they privately took the pufferfish home to eat, resulting in multiple people being hospitalized for poisoning. After the incident, the villagers instead shifted the blame and attempted to hold Zhou Haichuan accountable for compensation. However, surveillance footage preserved all the evidence, and clues to the old case also surfaced, ultimately bringing the truth of the drowning, sealed for nine years, to light in Shiqiao Village.
