The Underworld Official Goes Ashore: The Ghost Bus Takes Me to Complete My KPIs
After three years of grueling exams, Shen Du finally secures a permanent position in the Underworld's Soul-Reaping Department as a White Impermanence messenger. On his way home from work, he accidentally breaks through a crack in the Yellow Springs Road and stumbles onto a mysterious ghost bus packed with evil spirits. While the living passengers are scared out of their wits, his eyes light up. A hundred-year-old vengeful ghost, a shady shop bound by a Yin Contract, and an ownerless ghost market—these are all lucrative cases that people would normally fight tooth and nail to claim. He pulls out his official badge and swings his soul-reaping rope, subdues the ghost driver, breaks the hotel's Yin Contract, and ventures alone into the ghost market to battle the Ghost King. He turns an entire otherworldly realm, cut off from reincarnation, into a gold mine for meeting his KPIs. He shares the performance credits with his colleagues, gets everyone working overtime, and recruits the whole team, quickly becoming a candidate for the prestigious rank of Yin Marshal. But before he can even enjoy a bowl of mutton soup at the Bridge of Helplessness, a new rift opens beneath his feet. This shift is never going to end!
