Hao Yangyang takes office as a new official, and soldiers line up to welcome him. Someone touches him slightly, and he laughs for the duration of an incense stick. When enemy troops invade, he goes to battle. An enemy general thrusts his spear forward; Hao Yangyang dodges, but the tip of the spear brushes his armpit, causing him to roll on the ground with laughter. The enemy thinks it is a trick and retreats in fear. The military strategist tells him that his ticklishness is a tactic, but Hao Yangyang replies that he is genuinely ticklish, not using a tactic. Ever since, the soldiers call him the "Laughing General".

Quando le truppe nemiche invadono, lui va in battaglia. Un generale nemico afffonda un colpo di lancia; Hao Yangyang schiva, ma la punta della lancia gli sfiora l'ascella, facendolo rotolare a terra dalle risate.
