The Property Maze Under the Wheelchair
Fifty-five-year-old disabled and wheelchair-bound Shen Yulan used her pre-marital property to purchase a retirement home, but her husband Zhao Hongwei installed a bathtub for his sworn younger sister Xu Ping, ignoring her barrier-free needs and repeatedly favoring the other person. Shen Yulan's heart grew cold, and she sold the house to head far south. Zhao Hongwei falsely pretended to win her back while actually continuously transferring her retirement funds. Shen Yulan met retired lawyer Qin Zhenguo and uncovered Zhao Hongwei's embezzlement of property through a shell company. Through litigation, Zhao Hongwei and Xu Ping were sentenced, and all funds were recovered.
