The Boundary of Ten Yuan
Xu Ning, who shares an apartment with roommates near an electronics factory, agreed with her roommates on ten yuan per week to wash regular outerwear, clearly defining the service boundary. However, the roommates kept adding bedding and hand-washed clothes, and even used a free laundry event to dismiss Xu Ning's service. When conflicts broke out, Xu Ning sold her personal washing machine, moved out of the dorm, and started a small laundry business outside. The roommates again used her name to collect clothes and fees on her behalf, triggering customer disputes. Xu Ning retained all evidence, clarified rights and responsibilities, refused bottomless compromise, guarded the boundary of her time and labor, and lived out an independent and sober self through steady management.
