The Honest Godfather of the Old Street Under the Sunshine
During a rare July heatwave accompanied by widespread power outages, seafood shop owner Jiang Chen defies everyone's objections and decisively spends 300,000 yuan of his savings on generators. Faced with his fiancée breaking off their engagement and walking away, as well as the cold mockery of fellow merchant Qian Dabiao, he steadfastly refuses to profiteer from the disaster and insists on keeping his prices unchanged. He successfully preserves his live seafood through the crisis, earning the trust of every shop on the street and demonstrating a broad-minded generosity by bringing a competitor on the brink of collapse back onto the right path.
