Zhao Dafu, a widowed farmer, and Zhou Meifeng, a renowned pickled-vegetable maker, have harbored feelings for each other for years, but they get along like a bickering couple. Zhao Dafu's son, Zhao Tiezhu, is a boastful rural livestreamer who firmly believes Zhou Meifeng is getting close to his father to steal the family's ancestral pickling recipe and exploit his father's popularity. Zhou Meifeng's daughter, Wang Xiaojuan, runs a countryside guesthouse and worries that her mother's remarriage will damage the business's image and leave her without help caring for her child. Each has their own selfish motives, and both vehemently oppose the relationship. After enduring many hardships, Zhao Tiezhu and Wang Xiaojuan finally come to their senses and reconcile.
