The Partnership Restaurant Won't Share Profits, After I Leave You'll Drink Northwest Wind
Chen Guan, a young man from the countryside, partners with his cousin Chen Wei to open a dumpling shop, bringing along his family's ancestral recipe for eight-treasure dumplings. He works tirelessly all year to keep the business running, but when the shop earns a net profit of 1.6 million yuan at year's end, he is given only 8,000 yuan. Determined to break away, Chen Guan uses his only 8,000 yuan to sign a 300,000-yuan betting agreement and open his own shop. Sticking to honesty and quality, his business quickly flourishes. He repeatedly foils Chen Wei's schemes, including using inferior ingredients, framing him, blocking fire exits, and swapping out fresh meat. At a major hotel in the capital, Chen Guan finally exposes Chen Wei's wrongdoing, sending him to prison. Six months later, Chen Guan opens a chain of dumpling shops, and his family begins living a happy life.
