The Taste of the Human World Is Kindness
On a freezing winter night, young Chen Yanzhou walks into a noodle shop with his little sister, carrying only two yuan. The kind-hearted shop owner, Wu Xiulan, and her husband, Zhao Dewang, serve the siblings hot noodles and lend them a helping hand when they are at their most desperate. Before leaving, Chen Yanzhou promises that he will return the money when he grows up. Twenty years later, Chen Yanzhou, now a successful businessman, finally finds the noodle shop, only to discover that his benefactors have grown old and their longtime family business is struggling to survive. Determined to fulfill his childhood promise, he decides to stay and help the shop find a new direction for growth. Through their daily interactions and adjustments, the two generations gradually resolve the misunderstandings and emotional knots between them.

La gentile proprietaria, Wu Xiulan, e suo marito, Zhao Dewang, servono ai due fratelli dei noodles caldi e tendono loro una mano nel momento del bisogno. Prima di andarsene, Chen Yanzhou promette che tornerà a restituire i soldi quando sarà cresciuto. Vent'anni dopo, Chen Yanzhou, ormai affermato nella sua carriera, riesce finalmente a ritrovare quella trattoria.
