The Sharp-Tongued Veterinarian of the 1980s
In the 1980s, veterinarian Chen Weiguo arrives in a village and encounters a sow struggling to give birth. With his bare hands, he successfully delivers eight piglets. However, the village beauty publicly mocks him and makes a bold wager: if he can keep all the piglets alive, she will shave her head in front of everyone. Before long, counterfeit, substandard vaccines spread through the village, killing piglets one after another and causing devastating losses for local farmers. Suspecting foul play, Chen Weiguo gathers evidence with an old microscope and takes on the village cooperative, entangled in a web of conflicting interests. With his livelihood at stake and danger lurking at every turn, he fearlessly wagers everything he owns to fight for justice in this rural battle behind the scenes.

Ostacolare i guadagni altrui significa esporsi a pericoli continui. In questa battaglia segreta nelle campagne, mette senza esitazione a rischio tutti i suoi averi pur di ottenere giustizia.
