The Qingyun Sect strictly adheres to the thousand-year-old precept separating immortals from mortals. Su Yanci, an errand disciple without spiritual roots, falls in love with the prodigy disciple Shen Zhiheng, defying the sect's established hierarchy and strict rules. Their pure affection crosses the sect leader's bottom line and incurs the jealousy of a senior sister, stirring turmoil within the sect. As the grand righteousness of immortality clashes with mortal love, and devotion to the sect conflicts with true love, everyone is torn between rules and sentiment, obsession and fulfillment—culminating in a xianxia saga of fateful sorrow and tender regret.
