The Marquis of Yong'an's household brings their eldest daughter, An Huai, back from the countryside to take her sister's place in an arranged marriage. Little do they know, the real An Huai has long passed away—now inhabiting her body is a three-hundred-year-old ghost who spent centuries devouring evil spirits in a mass grave. With only seven days left to live, she desperately needs yin energy to sustain herself, and the ruthless Third Prince, Jin Zhaoyan, shrouded in vengeful wraiths, is the most enticing "yin mine" she has ever seen. As An Huai helps him solve bizarre cases and banish evil spirits, she schemes to make this substitute marriage permanent. When the living prove far more terrifying than ghosts, she will use spectral arts to settle scores in the mortal realm.
