Imperial Strategy Backfires: The Chancellor Offers to Be My Concubine (37 episodes)

Her imperial father died abruptly, thrusting young Princess An Yin onto the throne with a one-year trial period. To secure the empire, she consults The Art of Rulership and decides to first win over the aloof, powerful Chancellor, Gu Shixu—by penning romantic flirtations on memorial rescripts and feigning vulnerability. Expecting a calculated psychological conquest, she never anticipated that upon receiving the rescript, Gu Shixu would kneel before her with flushed eyes, declaring: "This minister is willing to marry Your Majesty, even as a concubine." Only then did she realize her painstakingly planned imperial stratagems had collided with a hopeless romantic who had pined for her for years.
