In the Painting My Stepsister Stole, I Hid 3,000 Words
The painting Tide, which Gu Jianlan spent three months creating, was taken without permission by her stepsister, Shen Nianzhi, and submitted to a competition and exhibition. Her father and stepmother have always played favorites, enabling Shen Nianzhi to steal her paintings. For years, they repeatedly sided with Shen Nianzhi as she stole Gu Jianlan's artwork for profit. Having anticipated this, Gu Jianlan secretly used a micro-engraving pen to hide 3,000 words inside the painting, documenting the truth about the artworks stolen from her over the years. At Shen Nianzhi's exhibition, she boldly claimed the painting was her original work. But when the details of the painting were enlarged and revealed, the hidden writing was exposed in front of everyone. An industry veteran examined the evidence and confirmed Shen Nianzhi's plagiarism, destroying her reputation. Shen Nianzhi later repeatedly caused trouble and tried to smear Gu Jianlan's name, but Gu Jianlan countered every attack with evidence, leaving her utterly disgraced.
