I Start a New Life with Medicine in the Miasma Forest
The moment Shen He opened her eyes, she became a sickly minor concubine-born daughter substituting for her legitimate elder sister to take the blame and being escorted into exile in Lingnan. Expecting to perish in the treacherous wilderness, she instead awakened the All Things Poison Appraisal Atlas. Poisonous weeds and swamps that others feared were medicinal herbs and treasures in her eyes. She reclaimed wasteland and hoarded grain, asking only to live in peace. Once, entering the forest to hunt for snakes, she met Xiao Duo, the ruthless border-stationed commander. Xiao Duo pointed a blade at her, but Shen He instead handed over a bowl of detoxifying snake soup, demanding fifty taels. Later, when the northern lands faced heavy snow and the border army lacked grain, Xiao Duo intended to fight to the death, while Shen He opened the secret door, pulling out full storehouses of sweet potatoes and cured meat to feed the great army, not forgetting to settle accounts and interest with him.
