A cruise ship is wrecked by a typhoon, and Lu Chen and a group of survivors are stranded on a nameless desert island. Lu Chen unexpectedly awakens an Omniscient Scanning System. At first everyone pins their hopes on a rescue that never comes, and as resources run desperately low, greed and suspicion keep erupting. With the system and his wilderness survival skills, Lu Chen finds an abandoned lighthouse, stockpiles supplies and builds a shelter. Holding to his survival principles, he unites some of the survivors against villains like the brutish Zhang Biao and the ambitious Qin Hao, while also facing natural threats such as storm surges and wild beast attacks, as they overcome one ordeal after another.
