The Ninth Lord Returns, Joining Forces with the Deposed Crown Prince to Turn the Tide
Rong Jiuge, a special forces military doctor, travels through time to another world and establishes the Wuhui Pavilion single-handedly, while also serving as president of the Ten Thousand Merchants Association. Revered by the world as the Ninth Lord, she is unexpectedly betrayed and poisoned by her trusted subordinate, Qing Yuan. Barely escaping to a mass burial ground, where she lies on the brink of death, she inherits the desire for revenge of Shen Jingshuang, the legitimate daughter of the Shen family, and is reborn in her identity. Hunted by assassins, she falls off a cliff and encounters Xiao Chenyuan, the deposed Crown Prince, who is imprisoned and suffering from a deadly cold poison that seals his meridians. The two form an alliance and return to the capital. There, she takes on her vicious stepmother, scheming half-sister, and heartless father, while confronting the traitor Qing Yuan and the current Crown Prince. As she uncovers an injustice involving military weapons on the northern frontier and shakes the political court and martial world, she ultimately brings down the corrupt mastermind behind everything and finds a lifetime of companionship with him.
