Blue Star player Li Xuancang logs into Journey to the West, only to transmigrate into the real Primordial World. He takes Tongtian Jiaozhu as his master, acquires the Qingping Sword and the Immortal Slaughtering Sword Formation, and makes rapid breakthroughs using player proficiency cards. Joining the Heavenly Court as Vice Marshal of Soldiers and Horses, he subdues the Seven Great Demon Kings including Sun Wukong and the Bull Demon King, sidelines Li Jing, and leads the immortals of the Jie Sect against Guanyin, the Tathagata, and Western Buddhism. As the Calamity of Journey to the West begins, the conflict between Taoism and Buddhism rages from the Dragon Palace and Underworld to the Spirit Mountain. The Heavenly Court, Jie Sect, and Buddhist factions lay out deep schemes, and as the Dao Ancestor seemingly intervenes, complete chaos erupts across the Primordial World.
