The Marital Home Was Torn Down, and Justice Was Upheld
In a rural village, neighbor Zhao Mancang builds a wedding house for his son, forcibly crossing the property boundary and encroaching half a meter onto the Chen family's homestead. The narrow drainage alley that the Chen family had given way to for over twenty years is completely buried under concrete. The entire village urges the Chen family to be magnanimous and give in, but Chen Chuan refuses to compromise and uncovers an ancient boundary stone beneath a jujube tree. Neither a confrontation at the house-raising banquet nor a lavish bribe can make him back down. A torrential downpour eventually breaks through the blocked old drainage ditch, flooding the wedding house. In the end, the illegally built house is demolished floor by floor. You may give up a little farmland, but when it comes to the principles of being human, you must not yield even half an inch.
