Truck driver Zhao Tiezhu, desperate to raise the down payment for his son's wedding home, is lured by a high salary into joining the fleet of unscrupulous boss Jin Biao. The fleet's trucks are riddled with safety hazards, lack adequate insurance, and drivers are pressured into taking dangerous trips. During a snowstorm, a tire blows out on the road, leaving Zhao Lei severely injured and permanently disabled as he tries to save his father.
