Just For Half a Day Off Work, The Company Lost Thirty Million
Technical backbone Jiang Chen stayed up all night for many days to complete the emergency repair of the Xingqiao system. Exhausted physically and mentally, he applied for half a day off, which was rejected by HR citing process requirements. Jiang Chen chose to strictly comply with all company rules and regulations. During the anniversary celebration, a system failure suddenly occurred, multi-level approval flow was blocked, staff response was delayed, and system downtime brought huge losses. Behind the incident, competing enterprises learned from the project ideas, and management publicly divided accident responsibility. Facing the responsibility division from superiors and the door-to-door confrontation of the competing company's CTO, Jiang Chen took out the complete work records kept in advance, relied on his own patents, and completed a counterattack with reason and evidence.
