The Carefree Incense Shop: Burning Incense to Change Fate
Deep in an old alley hides a Carefree Incense Shop. The shopkeeper, named Wanzhuang, is originally a thousand-year-old camellia spirit of Yuntai Mountain, who absorbs moonlight to form her shape and enters the mortal world bearing exotic incense. The guests who come here are all trapped by their obsessions: a sickly woman seeking beauty, a failed and frustrated scholar, a self-abased and dull teenager, and a down-and-out, wretched carpenter. Wanzhuang stands quietly behind the fragrant mist, watching transaction after transaction of trading incense for fate, watching mortals pull away the most vibrant parts of themselves, step by step living out a "flawed perfection." Guarding the shop for a millennium, she is always searching for an answer: when a human has been stripped of the things that make them most human, are they, in the end, still considered human? An Eastern fantasy weird comic-style drama.
