The Impoverished and Remote Countryside That Cannot Be Escaped
University student He Maidong is brutally abducted and forcibly taken to a remote mountain village, where she is married off to the brutish Deng Haicheng. From that moment on, she falls into a dark abyss of confinement and domestic violence. Every time she tries to escape, she is caught and brought back, enduring endless torment and surveillance. The only person who shows her kindness is her eldest sister-in-law, who was also abducted and brought to the village, becoming a glimmer of light in her desperate situation. He Maidong pretends to submit while lying low and waiting for a chance to flee, but when her plan is exposed, she discovers that she is pregnant.
