In the 1970s, a rare blizzard seals off Qingshigou Village. Zhao Mancang, once the village's top hunter, has been left with a crippled leg after an injury and has suffered the successive deaths of all three of his sons. Now, only his three widowed daughters-in-law remain by his side. Taking advantage of the disaster, his younger brother, Zhao Youcai, demands repayment, locks up the house, and even schemes to use the three women as payment for a hundred jin of life-saving grain. In front of the villagers, Zhao Mancang sets a ten-day deadline: he will repay the grain, redeem his house, and protect every member of his family without losing a single one! At his lowest point, an unexpected discovery involving his third son's belongings unlocks a spiritual spring space. It not only heals Zhao Mancang's old injury but also allows him to grow crops and raise livestock. The four family members work together to grow vegetables, raise rabbits, and trade for supplies. As natural disaster and greedy relatives close in, they fight to protect both their food and one another.
