Xiami, a mysterious modern man with the ability to travel through time, takes Zhu Yuanzhang, Empress Ma, Zhu Biao, and others to the final years of the Ming Dynasty, where they witness the fall of the dynasty under the Chongzhen Emperor and the devastation of the empire. Confronted with nearly three centuries of the Ming Dynasty's rise and decline, Zhu Yuanzhang gradually moves from fury and grief to reflection. With Xiami's help, he witnesses the loyalty and courage of figures such as Shi Kefa, Li Dingguo, Zheng Chenggong, and Yu Qian, while reconsidering the Jingnan Campaign, the Tumu Crisis, and the merits and faults of successive emperors. After learning of all the tragedies that await the future, Zhu Yuanzhang refuses to remain a mere observer of history. Starting from the Hongwu era, he resolves to reform the system, cultivate Zhu Biao, restore the Ming Dynasty, and personally rewrite the fate of the empire.
