Empress Dowager Travels to the Present, The Rules Are Set by Me
In her past life, Shen Lingyi schemed for many years to ascend to a high position, only to fall on the very night she was made empress. Reborn in a new lifetime, she becomes the eldest legitimate daughter of the Shen family who had been cast away to the countryside. Her biological family, biased toward her illegitimate sister, coerces her into taking her sister's place to marry the Lu family's eldest son, who has become a vegetable. No longer willing to be manipulated, Shen Lingyi calmly navigates the situation to secure a proper dowry before marrying into the Lu family. Seeing through the undercurrents within the residence and facing those with ulterior motives head-on, she relies on her poise, backbone, and courage to firmly establish her footing in the storm-tossed Lu family.
