The Famine Spirit Cat Seeks the Spirit Spring, A Pond of Divine Dragons Saves Ten Thousand People
In a year of devastating famine, Su Wanhe has her fishpond stolen by her stepsister and is left with nothing but a foul-smelling, worthless pool despised by everyone. At home, she must also care for her seriously ill mother and her husband, who has lost his memory and become mentally impaired. Just when she has nowhere left to turn, a spiritual cat capable of communicating with spirits, left behind by her grandmother, tells her that a spirit spring lies hidden beneath the pool. Nourished by the spring, spiritual fish and immortal herbs flourish. They not only heal her family but also help the entire village survive a catastrophic drought. Yet troubles keep coming. Her stepsister repeatedly schemes against her, while people from the immortal sect arrive and reveal that her husband, Pei Zhiheng, is actually a direct descendant of an immortal clan. The immortal sect orders him to return to the celestial realm to cultivate, abandoning the mortal world and its people. Faced with a choice between the path to eternal life and the loved ones and suffering villagers he cannot bear to leave behind, what will he choose?
