The Story of Li Hongwei
In the 1970s, in the forest regions of Northeast China, Li Hongwei listened to his father's advice in his previous life and took a job at a quarry, leaving him half-paralyzed and his wife dead at a young age. Reborn one night, he returns to that fateful evening and refuses to work at the quarry, choosing instead to split from his family and make his own way. His family waits for him to become a laughingstock, but with his previous life's hunting skills and knack for recognizing valuable goods, he earns a better living by using a slingshot to hunt fur-bearing animals, fighting wild boars, hunting black bears, and digging for wild ginseng. He saves the younger brother of the Chen family and reunites with Chen Jinglan, his wife from his previous life. In this life, he will protect the people he wants to keep safe.
