1980s Orphan Girl, Turns the Tables Against the Wind
In the 1980s, orphan Xu Zhiyan lived with her uncle's family and was mistreated by her aunt Liu Xiue, taking on all the heavy chores while her mother's left-behind dowry embroidery was entirely seized by her aunt to give to her cousin. She had been betrothed to Chen Ting since childhood; her jealous cousin constantly smeared her and fawned on Chen Ting, causing Chen Ting to publicly break the engagement and humiliate her, resolving to marry her cousin. Xu Zhiyan stopped enduring, publicly exposing the truth of her cousin's embezzlement of heirloom relics. Later, her aunt's family and Chen Ting became greedy and incompetent, living in destitution, repeatedly coming to scheme and cling. Xu Zhiyan built her own career through hard work, achieved success, found a good partner, and lived a prosperous and glorious life, whereas those who bullied her all fell into ruin.
