The Night of Resignation, the 500-Ton Cold Storage Went Out of Control
Lu Chen, a cold-chain engineer, spent three consecutive months stationed at the Huafeng project. However, after refusing to approve an inspection that violated regulations, he received a C performance rating and had his entire bonus revoked. Meanwhile, the boss's nephew, Fang Haoyu, took credit for others' work and pocketed a bonus of 680,000 yuan. After submitting three risk reports without getting any response, Lu Chen angrily resigned. That very night, the Huafeng cold storage facility suddenly went out of control, putting more than 500 tons of fresh goods at risk of being destroyed. Everyone at Qisheng rushed to Lu Chen's home in the middle of the night to beg for his help. Returning to the site as an external technical specialist, Lu Chen joined forces with Lin Qingya, the project director of Hengchuan, to investigate. Not only did they uncover defective defrost valves, but they also exposed the truth behind deleted data, forged signatures, and unauthorized operations.
