The Newlywed Daughter-in-Law Protects the Whole Family
After thirty years of putting up with everything, the honest parents-in-law have been constantly exploited by the eldest brother-in-law's family, who borrow money from them, make them do exhausting work, and even subject them to sarcastic remarks. On her very first day joining the family, Wang Tienan, a daughter-in-law from Northeast China, takes her in-laws by the hand and teaches them how to fight back. Return what needs returning, write IOUs for what needs documenting, and claim the spotlight when necessary. The elderly couple go from saying 'Let it go' to confidently asking, 'What's it to you?' Their backs grow straighter with every passing day. Unable to sit still any longer, the eldest brother-in-law's family brings the demolition compensation dispute to the table. At a family banquet that turns into a trap, thirty years of old grievances are finally settled in front of everyone.
