On the first anniversary of her mother's death, Lin Jing wants to return to her hometown to pay her respects at her mother's grave. Heartbroken and furious, Lin Jing returns to her hometown to pay her respects and learns a devastating truth from her father: a year earlier, while her mother was critically ill and being treated in the ICU, Wang Qiang secretly hung up on and blocked the hospital's emergency calls to save money and keep Lin Jing at home as his unpaid housekeeper. As a result, she never got to see her mother one last time. Having completely lost faith in her husband, Lin Jing fights back. She uncovers evidence that Wang Qiang has secretly transferred marital assets and cleverly uses hidden surveillance footage to get him detained for attempted domestic violence.
