The Palm and the Back of the Hand, Yet the Flesh Is Not Equally Thick
When Chen Feng was seven, his older brother, Chen Lei, rescued him from a river. For years, their mother used this so-called life-saving debt to guilt-trip him into giving up his chance to attend university and working to support his brother's education. They later went into business together running an auto repair shop, but Chen Feng was deliberately shortchanged on his share of the profits, and his exceptional skills were treated with contempt. Disheartened, he finally broke away and started his own business. With his outstanding auto repair skills, he opened a shop beside a national highway and won long-term contracts with major clients through his own merit, turning his struggling career around. Meanwhile, Chen Lei took shortcuts and cheated car owners with substandard parts, eventually leading to the shop being shut down and everyone abandoning him. When Chen Lei had nowhere left to turn, Chen Feng put aside their grievances and offered a helping hand. Their mother finally came to her senses, the family reconciled, and Chen Feng achieved success in both love and career.
