Grandma's First Graduation Photo
Sixty-six-year-old Tang Guizhi joins a community literacy mutual aid class. After eight months of study, she and her old classmate Cheng Yulan finally usher in the day of course completion. Her daughter Tang Xiaoqing wants to prepare a formal graduation commemoration for her mother, yet in her good intentions overlooks the life feelings her mother truly wants to express. Her granddaughter Doudou accompanies grandma in practicing her speech, and slowly comes to understand the meaning of this graduation for her. Accompanied by her family and encouraged by her old classmate, Guizhi decides to narrate this experience in her own words, and the four of them ultimately complete a simple and warm graduation sharing, leaving behind a precious group photo belonging to ordinary life.

Tang Guizhi, âgée de soixante-six ans, participe à un cours communautaire d'entraide pour l'alphabétisation. Après huit mois d'études, elle et sa vieille camarade de classe Cheng Yulan accueillent enfin le jour de la fin des cours. Sa fille Tang Xiaoqing souhaite préparer une commémoration officielle de remise de diplôme pour sa mère, mais dans sa bonne intention, elle néglige les sentiments de vie que sa mère souhaite réellement exprimer. Sa petite-fille Doudou accompagne sa grand-mère pour s'entraîner à parler, et comprend peu à peu la signification de cette diplomation pour elle. Accompagnée par sa famille et encouragée par sa vieille camarade, Guizhi décide de raconter cette expérience avec ses propres mots, et les quatre personnes achèvent finalement un partage de diplôme simple et chaleureux, tout en laissant une précieuse photo de groupe propre à la vie ordinaire.
