Six years ago, Song Ci was forced to marry Lu Jingyi, whose blood type was a successful match for her boyfriend Meng Jinchuan, who was suffering from a blood disorder. To save him, she drove Meng Jinchuan away with cruel lies. After their marriage, she endured domestic abuse and gave birth to a son, An'an. Il y a six ans, Song Ci a été contrainte d'épouser Lu Jingyi, dont le groupe sanguin était compatible, afin de sauver son petit ami Meng Jinchuan, atteint d'une maladie du sang. Pour le protéger, elle l'a repoussé avec des mensonges cruels. Après leur mariage, elle a subi des violences conjugales et a donné naissance à un fils, An'an. Six ans plus tard, Lu Jingyi meurt et Meng Jinchuan revient en tant que créancier. Croyant à tort qu'An'an est le fils de Lu Jingyi, il propose à Song Ci de vivre avec lui pendant dix jours pour se venger. Entre-temps, Song Ci apprend qu'elle souffre d'un cancer du foie et fait semblant d'être en couple avec le médecin Jiang Qinian pour éloigner Meng Jinchuan. Elle est également victime à plusieurs reprises des manigances de Qiao Manman, une femme amoureuse de lui. Finalement, Meng Jinchuan découvre le sacrifice que Song Ci a fait pour lui autrefois, apprend qu'il est le père biologique d'An'an et découvre sa maladie. Il sauve Song Ci et son fils après leur enlèvement, puis fait don d'une partie de son foie pour la sauver. La famille Qiao s'effondre, Song Ci guérit et tous trois trouvent enfin le bonheur en famille.
